Maple Glazed Tofu - MidwestHarvest

1 Lb. Firm Tofu
2 Large Garlic Cloves, Chopped
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
1/4 Cup Orange Juice
2 T. Roasted Peanut Oil
1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
1/4 Cup Chopped Cilantro
3 T. Vegetable or Peanut Oil

For Cooking Drain the tofu, cut it into the shapes and sizes you desire, set on paper towel and blot well. Combine the next 5 ingredients in a measuring cup.Heat a large nonstick pan or electric skillet to 350 degrees and coat with the oil. when oil is hot, add the tofu and cook without disturbing until crisp and golden, about minutes. (the tofu will stick immediately, be patient, it will release when a crispy crust has formed.) turn and cook on the other side, adding more oil if necessary. Pour in the marinade and stir to coat the tofu. Reduce the heat, cook until the sauce is thickened and the tofu is glazed. Add the cilantro just before removing tofu from skillet.
